I can't believe I deleted the entire back catalog of my art for nothing
...is what I would say if I actually did delete it. But I didn't. In fact, all I did was put it in storage (an easily reversible action) to wait out this situation and see what dA would do. They've since gone into full damage control mode and gave people the option to flag their galleries with a tag that says they don't want their art used in ai stuff

In light of all this information I'm sure what you all are wondering is what I'm going to do with all the art now. Well I flagged my gallery with the noai tag, so I'll probably pull it all back out of storage. I'm still wary of what dA might do once everything quiets down, but at least there's some small comfort.
There is something else I wanted to touch on though. Coming back here to post that journal yesterday made me realize that there are a lot of people here who probably don't even know I'm still drawing and posting art elsewhere. For a long time I've wanted to come back here to bring some of the new stuff I've been drawing (mostly anthro/furry art), but there's been this nagging concern that people would just turn their noses up at it and instead ask why I don't return to drawing fat anime girls instead. To this day I still get DMs and comments on my other accounts asking why I'm wasting my time drawing anthro instead of humans. Keeping in mind that I have not draw that kind of stuff in almost 4 years
Maybe as a litmus test I'll just put a piece or two in the future to see how people react. If people don't like it they'll probably leave, but that's probably just the natural course of things. Anyway I'm done rambling

If anyone is wondering where my gallery went just check this tweet here and I'm sure you'll see why I'd rather just purge everything than leave all of my stuff to be fed into an AI art generator when I don't even use the site anymore. Funny thing is that I was actually thinking about coming back to post stuff here at some point but I think this might've been the final nail in that coffin. Shame that it had to be under these circumstances that I dust this account off to say something but it is what it is
I've decided I'm gonna keep the cartoon styled stuff, as well as any quicker, experimental stuff, there.
Be warned though, in addition to nsfw, there's also anthro stuff. So if neither of those are your cup of tea, you'd probably be better off ignoring this journal.
